East & West MoleseyA Dictionary of Local HistoryRowland G. M. Baker, 1972 |
An East Molesey Co-operative Society was formed by the joint action of members of the Order of Oddfellows and the Order of Forresters at a meeting held on 24th August 1872. A store was acquired which was opened each day, and a boy was employed to canvass for orders. It apparently lasted only a few years. The district is now in the area of the London Co-operative Society.
