At the Court Baron Specially Called of Joseph Clarke Esquire Lord of the Manor aforesaid there Held on Wednesday the Twentyfourth Day of July in the Eleventh Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Third and in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy one Before John Ashe Gentleman Steward there.

At this Court Thomas Taylor one of the Customary Tenants of the Manor aforesaid Came in his proper person and in Open Court Surrendered into the Hands of the Lord of the Manor aforesaid By the Hands and Acceptance of his Steward aforesaid By the Rod according to the Custom of the said Manor All those Seven Acres of Customary Land more or Less Situate lying and being at East Moulsay within the Manor aforesaid in Several Pieces and parcels there that is to say four Acres and a Quarter of Land Lying on the North Side of East Moulsey Lane one Quarter of an Acre Lying on the South Side of the New Road Leading to Moulsey Bridge one Acre and an half more thereof Called or Known by the Name of Stain Lying on the South Side of Lot Meadow and Abutting on the New Road Leading to Moulsey Bridge Half an Acre more thereof Lying in Lot Meadow Shooting from the Thames to the Road Leading to Moulsey Hurst and Half an Acre of Land Residue of the said Seven Acres Shooting to the Lane that Leadeth from Moulsey Hurst to Moulsey Town and Adjoining to a piece of Land belonging to Mr Carpenter and which said seven Acres of Land Except a Small part thereof are now in the possession or Occupation of Joseph Tealing To the Use and Behoof of Thomas Martin of Moulsey in the County of Surry Miller his Heirs and Assigns for Ever who being present here in Court in his proper person humbly prayed to be Admitted Tenant to the premisses aforesaid with the Appartenances according to the Form and Effect of the Surrender aforesaid To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid Granted Seisin thereof By the Rod To Have and to Hold to Him and his Heirs of the Lord by the Rod at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the Manor aforesaid By the Rent Heirioff Services and Customs therefore before Due and of Right Accustomed and He Gave to the Lord for a fine as Appearethed and is Admitted Tenant thereof and made Fealty to the Lord
